Renewable Installations for a variety of properties in Rhosilli

Mr J Beynon owns several properties in the Middleton area of Rhosilli. WDS Green Energy have worked with Mr Beynon on several occasions and currently he has three heat pump installations and three solar photovoltaic installations all installed by WDS Green Energy. There are plans for a further heat pump installation and Mr Beynon has also expressed an interest in a solar thermal installation.

Corn Cottage:

Corn cottage is a newly renovated barn conversion within walking distance from the Rhosilli beach which is let as a holiday home.
Mr Beynon discussed renewable options with WDS Green Energy before settling on a Ground source heat pump installation coupled with under floor heating as the source of heat and hot water for the property.
The electrical running cost of the heat pump system is offset by the installation of 3.9kW of Solar Photovoltaic Panels upon the roof space.
The 20No photovoltaic panels were from the new ‘onyx’ range of phonosolar panels. These black panels are less conspicuous when set against the roof of this holiday cottage than the traditional blue/black panels.

The Laundry, The ‘Old Byre’ and Middleton Hall Farm:

The Laundry is a new barn conversion situated in the heart of Middleton, within walking distance of Mewslade Bay and Rhosilli beach. It is heated by an air source heat pump coupled with under floor heating.
At the same time as The Laundrys installation WDS Green energy installed an air source heat pump system for neighboring barn conversion the ‘Old Byre‘. The ‘Old Byre‘ also utilises underfloor heating throughout as a heat distribution system, ensuring it stays toasty warm even in the worst of weather.
Middleton Hall Farm is a large spacious property on the grounds of a working farm. As Mr Beynon wished to retain the traditional feel of the property the building is heated by an oil fired AGA which is supplemented by electric heaters which in turn draw electricity from the 3.9kW of Solar Photovoltaic panels upon the roof of Middleton Hall Farm. WDS Green Energy installed the photovoltaic panels at the same time as the Photovoltaic installation for Corn Cottage to minimise the disruption to Mr Beynons business.

Jessamine Farm:

WDS Green Energy has the pleasure of working with Mr Beynon again on his latest project. A new build farm/ holiday cottage called Jessamine Farm.
Again WDS Green Energy will install under floor heating throughout the new build property coupled with a Dimplex SIH11ME Ground source heat pump, which will provide for all the heating and hot water requirements of this holiday cottage.A solar thermal system for this property is also being considered to pre-warm the hot water.
